Tropical Teal Entry Way Table

See how a bit of color can totally change an ordinary old brown cabinet!

You are probably wondering what this truck pictured below, has to do with the cabinet right? I thought the color of his truck would be perfect for the dated brown cabinet!

I chose a no VOC flat latex Behr paint a beautiful shade called Tropics, which was as close to the color of the truck as I could find. I mixed the paint with this amazing chalk paint powder to create a creamy smooth and very durable chalk paint.

I added the stenciling detail and crystal knobs to the 6 drawers and cubby dividers. But after a week or so, I realized that the cabinet was still lacking.

 A little extra detail with the decoupage lining to the backs of the compartments lends itself to the Tropical theme! 

These cute knobs are a perfect match for the tropical liner. By sanding the stenciled areas and lightly distressing the top and sides, really gave the cabinet a more time worn appearance. Black wax was applied to the top and sides, very smooth finish.
