Beautifully Revived Eastlake Dresser and Mirror
SOLD!
This rare antique Eastlake Dresser were beautifully restored, refinished, and revived just for YOU! Quite the transformation.
I was quite surprised to find the unique joints inside the drawers, which are known as Knapp joints or Pin and Cove. These joints along with the square nails used in the construction of the dresser date it to 1870 – 1900’s.
The top and drawers were sanded to natural wood (Mahogany) with a light grey paint wash applied to enhance the grain and change the color of the red Mahogany. The sides were painted with a light grey paint with paint transformer, (No VOC) and antiquing glaze applied to enhance the detailed areas. Drawers slide easily after a little wax and new hardware and keyhole inserts were added.
